Gateway LT32 notebook: 11.6 inch display and an AMD chipset

Gateway has launched a new 11.6 inch thin and light laptop called the Gateway LT32. And if it looks familiar, that’s because it’s basically just an Acer Aspire 721 laptop with the Gateway brand name slapped on it. That kind of thing happens a lot, since Acer owns the Gateway, Packard Bell, and eMachines brand names… although I’m not really sure why the company bothers releasing the same laptop under two different names.

Anyway, like the Acer Aspire 721, the Gateway LT32 has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel HD display, a 1.7 GHz AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The laptop has 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and it should be able to handle 1080p HD video playback.

The laptop feeatures a 4400mAh battery, 802.1b/g/n WiFi, HDMI and VGA outputs, and 3 USB ports.It measures 11.2? x 8? x 1.1? and weighs 2.76 pounds.

The Gateway LT32 is available for purchase for $449.99 from the Gateway shop, although I suspect we’ll start seeing it pop up for lower prices at other stores soon.
