Adobe Flash comes to the iPad (unofficially) – You can install it now

Apple has no plans to allow Adobe Flash to run on the iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Ever. But the hardware on these devices is more than capable of running the mobile version of Flash developed for Google Android. Recently a hacker figured out how to port Adobe Flash to the iPad, and today the folks at Engadget have posted step por step instructions for installing Flash on any jailbroken iPad.

Basically all you need to do is jailbreak your tablet, copy the installer file to your iPad, create an installation directory, copy the installer to that folder, and reboot your device a few times.

The latest version of Flash for the iPad (or Frash, as the app is currently called), doesn’t support Flash video. But it does support other Flash content including games. That means you should be able to play Robot Unicorn Attack on an iPad without paying $2.99 for the mobile app.

You can check out a few demo videos after the break.
